I had CC opening at -136 and hitting -120 at the lowest point. I had Pitt opening at +172 and bet them at +212. I've been doing this for over 40 years, and getting the best line on your bets is OVER 50% of being a long-term winner. I know of NO winners (long-term, of course) who don't time the market. My partner uses the overnight opener to determine steam, and I use the gameday opening line (I'm much more conservative, and don't trust the overnight line; limits are low and the line moves too fast).
