Cubs -124....................$300

Now that Sammy Sosa has his 600th HR, Ranger fans have nothing left to cheer about. Texas has the worst record in baseball at 27-44 and their best player, first baseman Mark Texiara, is on the injured list. The Rangers beat the Cubs last night, taking advantage of a slumping Jason Marquis. However things figure to get tougher today for the Texas team as they go up against Ted Lilly. The veteran lefty is 5-4 with a 3.69 ERA this season and is is 2-3 with a 3.93 in his career against the Rangers with a 3.93 ERA. Vincente Padilla (3-8, 5.67) ERA will be throwin' em down for The Rangers. Based on their season numbers and their last start, Lilly and the Cubs would be the choice here. Lilly gave up one run on six hits over eight innings in his last start against San Diego while Padilla went five innings, giving up 12 hits and six runs. The Rangers are also 3-11 when Padilla starts.
