How far do movies stray from reality?

I guess I wanted to see how many movies you Rxers know that are based on a true story stray WAY off reality & if so how?

A few I heard mention several times are: Remember The Titans, Invincible (ironically Disney movies lol), The Departed, Hotel Rwanda. Watching Pride right now which is a very good movie but was told they were some major inaccuracies in it too.

They all do.

Except for 'Turistas' and the 2 'Hostel' movies.

Those 2 flicks are incredibly realistic. Dont watch them, that stuff could happen to you!

You really think 'Hotel Rwanda' had inaccuracies?!

If it does, it has to be close.

Yeah many in Rwanda are calling Paul whatever his name is a fraud and opportunist. If I get time later I'll find the article.

I don't see a problem if the story is inaccurate, the awareness and emotional effect is what is important.
