pirates under the total ....

took a tough L on the angels total last night. playing the under in the late game tonight.

hernandez is certainly capable of shutting down the pirates. line and total are high because of the question marks on the pittsburgh side. van benschoten is another very high first round draft pick that the jury is still out on for the pirates. this kid was a stud at kent state and seemed to be on the fast track to the majors but has taken longer than expected to progress. talent is hardly the question with him. is he going to come out and throw a gem? doubtful. but he is capable of going 6 strong and keeping this game in striking distance. really think runs are going to be tough to come by in this game.

If you believe runs are to be at a premium, then Pitt plus the # would be logical as well......no?

yes, i do think pittsburgh stands a better chance to win the game than the betting line indicates. i considered a bet on pittsburgh but feel better about the under. as you said though, dog and under are correlated here.

Pitt is a team that does not catch the betting public's eye, but I believe a moneymaker if rode out the rest of the season. Under the radar....just like I like it!

shit. under just got hit to -130. was going to add a few more bucks to it. instead, grabbed under 8.5 at even money for some icing. got under 9 for the majority of the bet. under 8.5 no juice for a few bucks too.

2 primarily over teams just had 2 unders playing themselves, those 2 unders were heavy heavy public over plays. now the public likes the under, I see a perfect opportunity for the over.

im thoroughly confused with the under-over-over-under-under-over public argument. baseball is baseball. public has no impact on this outcome. but to each his own. i need van benschoten and hernandez to go deep into the game. over bettors would like to see some hits. thats betting.
