Not saying they will win the WS as that can be a little of a crap shoot but overall I think they end up with the best record in bases.

Trying not to be a homer but with all their pitchers coming back and one of the best offenses in baseball they are set to go on a tear.

I can see your point Ice...they really are in a good spot and if Kenny comes back, they certainly look like a team that will be peaking much later this yr.

Shef has been a beast..if he stays healthy! To me he's always one swing away from the DL with all that torque he creates.

Not too mention all this has been done with one Sean Casey homer lol.

ICEMAN, I am in Southgate for a few weeks while my father-in-law is in the hospital. I want to see the Rangers play on Monday against detroit.

Can you make it to any of those games? Ebay has some really good deals on tickets unless you season tickets

detroit is damn good. but i cant wait for rogers to come back so i can fade the shit out of him. he is a mediocre pitcher who had a great postseason run, a la jeff weaver, last fall. the prices for him are going to be way overpriced and i dont see him as anything more than a .500 pitcher.

bonderman and verlander are still the keys to that staff. needless to say, getting zumaya back is going to be huge and will only help. detroit can flat out hit and they will be right on cleveland's heels all summer. can certainly win the division. teams are very similar, both in young aces (sabathia/carmona vs. verlander/bonderman) along with great hitting and hit/miss 3-4-5 starters.

Doubt they'll finish with a better record than the Saux, but they'll be close.

I hope you enjoyed Kenny's debute game tonite against Atl. He was FANtastic. He is the leader of their staff.

It pains me to say this but I think you guys are right about the Tigers they can hit the crap out of the baseball,Have good starting pitching and a great manager in Leyland. But you have a so so bullpen this year which might bite you in the ass down the line.I think the Indians get the wildcard but like the Tigers their bullpen sucks ass also and Hafner isnt hitting like he did last year and The Indians cant hit in the Clutch.I think Eric Wedge is a idiot but since Dolan wont pay anybody or Shapiro making a key trade to help this club out the Indians will be around but get knocked off in the first round in the playoffs. Also lets not forget that Boston has pitching problems also with Schilling being hurt and that might hurt them down the line. This only helps the Tigers out even more come playoff time.

touched on it briefly in my thread, but twirling a gem against the chipper-less braves in a national league park isnt quite the same as doing it against texas/cleveland/boston/seattle -- who are the next four series for the tigers. credit where its due, but lets keep tonight in perspective. if he is the ace of the staff, then the tigers wont be winning much this year. verlander and bonderman are the rocks. rogers reminds me of chuck finley. sure he can be a gritty veteran. but hes equally as likely to get rocked every time out. good performance tonight though without question

Sorry but I am right smack in the middle of my biggest work load stretch of the year. Sorry I didnt get back to you sooner but my computer was down for about 15 hours last nite/ this morning.

I haven't had much time to even post. Also I am a little over an hour from detroit so it is a little haul for me. Some reason people think I am from around there, I really am not.

Have fun and maybe I will be at the bash and will buy you a few drinks.
