to be 3 hit today is just horrible. To lose 2 of 3, after being swept in Colorado is just unacceptable.....Last week this team was killing the Mets.

He didn't get help on Jeter ruining the potential double play. In the 7th, Cano also had a chance to ground one but it slipped past him. Bad things happen when Cairo bats 2nd, and Thompson and Nieves are starting.

They will have a bigger problem if the Red Sox get Mark Buehrle. Chicago Sun-Times said there are serious talks.

yea, they suck. i find it very funny that they consistently try to buy a championship and most years fail. The fact that they are struggling to be a 500 team is humorous to me, and probably a lot of others...

Sometimes, the combo of time+experience+high payroll+age+no "eye of the tiger"+lack of hunger = sub-par teams that LOOK good on past laurels, but don't perform up to standard because they have nothing to prove and a bankroll to prove it, maybe one or two WS rings, to boot.

baseball is a broken sport if anyone doesn't think money doesn't help make a championship team I bet of the top 5 highest payrolls 3 are winning teams I can think of one the boston red sox there money could buy them a championship thiis year and I am sure the mets are right up there too
