If you are comped a room at a large hotel/casino, can you order room service and charge it to the room? ie. get it for free. Just asking, I get comped at foxwoods and was wondering what the norm is, like will you get billed for it or not?

thanks.

If you are RFB then it should be taken care of. If you just have a comped room then it will be up to your host, based on your play, whether or not the room service will be comped.

The rule of thumb is to charge all food to your room and see what your host can do for you. It doesn't hurt to contact him/her the night before your departure and have them review your play.

This is very important - contact the host the day before.
If they are missing the checkout day - it will hit your credit card.

Even if they say they will take take care of the charges - check the CC online the next couple of days.

Many times Harrahs has messed up. After a month it can be difficult to change,

Foxwoods is different from a lot of casinos in how they primarily work off of the Wampum point system. Generally you end up having to use points off of your card for everything. There can be rooms/meals comped on top of that without having to use points but usually it's clear ahead of time if that will be the case or not.

There have been a few times when I got a comped room there (not having to use points) and I did charge meals to the room - room service or otherwise. Occasionally the whole bill was just taken off of a comp and I did not have to even use points at all. But most times, they will just take the room off as a comp and make you use points for the meals and such.

It all mainly depends on what kind offer you are taking them up on. Check the monthly mailer or invite you get for the offer code name and I can probably give you some more insight on what to expect. The best offer code I remember was called "ClubVIP" - that basically included everything. Some of it also depends on the host you deal with there - certain hosts have more power to give better comps than others. Based on the offer code, the person at check out will know if they should just take the whole bill off as a comp or just the room and make you use points for the rest.

It would seem that if you get comped for food in a restaurant....you'll get comped in your room. But El Jefe seems to know more about the Foxwood system.
