Well they actually sent about 1700, but quite a few guys won more than one seat including LILHOLDEM954 who won AT LEAST 8 different seats. But the number above only represents different players. JCAMBY33 won at least 4 seats, T Soprano won at least 6 seats, johnnybax won at least 3 times, well you get the picture.

Who said that internet poker was dead?? Actually, I believe that pokerstars has had more players than ever lately.

I dont have the exact numbers from Fulltilt, but I know that they sent at least 370 to the main event this year.

Judging from these numbers, I would estimate around 7200 players in the main event this year

Since they changed the system, it looks like the winners can take the money and run and not even show up for the tournament. I think that's what I would do if given the opportunity. 10 grand makes for a nice Vegas vacation.

My guess was 7200, but I would say that the over/under should be set at around 6600

I am told you can purchase 10k WSOP chips that may be only used to enter the main event. Poker sites purchase such chips and distribute them to the seat winners, in Las Vegas; there is no direct relationship between any WSOP satellite (online or offline) and the WSOP.
