I'm not sure I'd really agree that the heat has anything to do with Hudson's performance. But nonetheless, I would advise against betting on the Braves at such a high number. They have been hapless on offense for the past week and Bergmann has had their number in every start this year.Bergmann has a better ERA than Hudson and anyone following the Bravos would tell you that Hudson CANNOT pitch in the heat..he just falls apart in this humidity. It's very hot and humid in A-town today and the Braves are in a huge letdown mode from two big series against the Red Sox and Tigers....You can only look the Nats way in this game tonight.
CK...haven't you noticed ever since coming over from Oakland (where there is no heat)....he seems to "wilt" starting in June then July and August his arm is not the same... He pitched for Auburn but most College ball is played Feb.-May...seems to me Hudson starts to fade when the heat kicks in...his best start recently was at Minny (dome)...maybe it's just my perception but......I think there's a direct correlation. Hopefully the Braves will turn this thing around...Andrew had some nice swings last night and they did just come off playing the best teams in MLB.I'm not sure I'd really agree that the heat has anything to do with Hudson's performance.
