The Devil Rays bring home a 10* play yesterday by almost covering the total themselves. Lets not kid ourselves Jeff Weaver is still a good fade, yes he pitched a complete game shut out last time out but the Pittsburgh Pirates have not exactly been lighting the world on fire. Pitchers who throw a complete game are winning only 30% of their next starts. Now add in that Jeff Weaver has a 6.99 ERA in 14 appearances vs. Boston, it's not looking good for old Jeffie. Tavarez on the other hand has been solid as of late running his whip to under 1 in his last 3 starts. The M’s had that great run early in June, but their last 4 series have been against the Cubs, Astros, Pirates & Reds they only have 5 wins in 12 starts. The Red Sox are a big step up in class, this is another 10* -130 Boston ML play for us.
