sabathia has been excellent when it comes to stopping losing streaks or getting the indians a much needed win. this is a spot where hes being counted on the step up. his career numbers against oakland are piss poor but its worth noting that the majority of those poor starts were on the road in his hometown. for whatever reason, he just gets way too worked up to pitch in front of family and friends in oakland and his performance suffers big time. but his home numbers this season have been dynamite and oakland isnt the kind of team i see doing a number on him in cleveland. something like 5-2 cleveland makes sense.
halladay has been lights out vs minnesota in his career - something like a 2.00 era against the twins with a boatload of strikeouts and very few walks. slowey has the potential to turn this into a pitchers duel. i like this kid a lot even though his numbers dont jump out at you. twisns scored a bunch against the marlins the last two days but its back to reality today.
