Does Anyone have an Explanation for Evil

I can almost begin to understand how people can do evil things to people they don't know or that they think represent something they hate but when I hear about people who mess with their own kids, I just think it is hopeless. How can anyone explain stuff like this, how can a lawyer sit next to these people and defend them?

Seriously is the answer to stop reading stories like this, it is pretty sickening and there just seem to be more and more of them every day. Is there any point in trying to understand folks like this or should we just hope they die quick and painfully before taxpayers have to foot the bill for their trials?

A roving band of suspected identity thieves who allegedly killed one of their own and abused a child traveled to Wisconsin and rented a house in the quiet community of Portage simply because they wanted to see snow.
Prosecutors say the group in the past year lived in Florida, Maine, Tennessee, Kentucky and Colorado. Detectives say the group was on the run from the law in a number of states.
The crimes at the 'house of horrors' has rocked the small central Wisconsin city that touts itself as the place "Where the North Begins."

These people have cashed in their chips. They will never repay to society what they have taken. If they are not organ donars by midnight then they've overstayed their welcome.

Along the same lines, you should remember that there probably 1,000x more good deeds then bad, but good deeds just aren't news worthy.

It is hard to understand the thinking of some dumb fucks. I just hope they get to suffer sometime.

I wonder about that too. Just looking at this country, there are plenty of stories about sick and depraved criminals throughout our history. It just seems it is almost an everyday occurence now, certainly the internet is the biggest factor in that things are publicized minutes after they happen

I think there are more screwed up people around now though - plus we have more people and advanced technology, so more opportunity for the deranged among us to interact and harm innocent people.

I hate hearing these horiffic stories about these violent criminals - especially when kids are involved - and then pleading mentally ill or incompetent. If people are truly evil I dont see what the point is trying to rehabilitate them. I don't have an answer for what to do with them, maybe force them to do something to benefit society like donate their lungs or eyes or any organs that might be salvagable. Yes, I do have some compassion, they would be put to sleep before taking the organs of course........

I seriously believe that some of these people have mental defects. They lack empathy and compassion for other people. How else can you explain the horrific acts some of these people commit? I can't even imagine how someone can rape, torture and kill another person. I especially can't comprehend how someone can hurt a child. What really pisses me off is when one of these a-holes gets convicted and sentenced to death their lawyer will complain that the death penaly is cruel and will hurt them.

The lawyer for that thing called Candice Clark is already crying foul because she gave an interview from the jail and he wasnt there to protect her.

I am debating which is more evil, people who hurt kids or the lawyers who defend these sick freaks. I am thinking it must be the lawyers since they know the people are guilty but still play games to try to get them off.

And the biases of the media consuming public. School shootings are at a 10 year+ low; chiild abduction has been trending downward for years. How are these two phenomenae portrayed in the news?

Americans are addicted to moral drama. Do you think that hot female teachers have just suddenly started sleeping with their male students in the last ten years or so, on a lark? No; they've always done it. It just didn't turn into a slam-dunk ad space selling headline until recently. Eventually it will pass and you'll tell your grandchildren "You kids don't know how good you have it. When I was your age we had teachers molesting kids left and right, not like now. "

Why can't some people just be born with an evil gene of some kind? At least one which allows for the ability to be evil. The idea that all people are born "good" is simply ridiculous.
