the line opened at bos -122. pretty low for the best team in baseball, especially if you look at who they are up against. considering the extra chalk books will get for boston simply being boston, they are begging for money on that side. the line should be -155 or so. to sum it up, boston is a trap play.
on a matchup stance, weaver looked good, great, on his last three outings, including a complete game shutout last week. and tavarez isnt that good imo. m's average 7 runs per game, won two in a row, syked up about playing boston, and at home. if you think this game is going over, it will be seattle supplying the bombs.
