............rough ride for me thus far this season, but see this as a HUGE oppurtunity to step out LARGE today on TORONTO !!! Can see the 'JAYS getting to Baker here, and the TWINKIES will probably be without Morneau, Cirillo and possibly Castillo as well............this number is currently at -105 almost everywhere, and pending the line ups here , could get steamed up .10-.15 by gametime .........

Toronto's hot offense has led to its longest winning streak of the season, but the Blue Jays are hoping they won't need to rely on those bats Tuesday with Shaun Marcum on the mound.
The Blue Jays go for their fifth straight victory as they continue a four-game series with the Minnesota Twins at the Metrodome.
Toronto (38-37) is averaging 8.3 runs and batting .342 during its four-game winning streak, which includes an 8-5 victory over Minnesota (38-36) in Monday's opener that pushed the Blue Jays over .500 for the first time since April 30 - when they were 13-12.
Matt Stairs hit a two-run tiebreaking homer to extend his hitting streak to seven games, and is batting .444 (9-for-27) during that stretch. The 39-year-old, who signed with Toronto in the offseason, is hitting .304 with 12 home runs and 28 RBIs in 58 games.
"He doesn't hit any cheapies," Blue Jays manager John Gibbons said. "He's having an unbelievable year, especially for coming in and not expecting any playing time. He hasn't lost a beat."
Vernon Wells didn't miss much Monday as he recorded three RBIs for the second straight game and finished a triple shy of the cycle. Frank Thomas failed to hit his 500th career homer, but has 49 against the Twins - his most versus any opponent.
The Blue Jays' designated hitter is 1-for-2 with a homer against Scott Baker, who will take the mound for Minnesota, while Stairs is 4-for-9 with a double versus the right-hander.
Marcum (4-2, 3.38 ERA) began the season in the bullpen, but joined the starting rotation on May 13. He is 3-0 with a 2.45 ERA in his eight starts, holding opponents to a .177 batting average. (CBS SPORTSLINE)
Marcum pitched too good to lose in his last, giving up just 3 hits and 2 runs until the bullpen blew it late...........Vernon Wells has found his stroke and and thiis team is hitting their stride now..............MINNESOTAS Baker , meanwhile has been EXTREMELY hittable over his last six games , and that could be very bad news vs. this 'JAY'S line up .............

..................Marcum hasn't allowed more than 4 ER in his last six games , with two shut outs. Quite frankly , this number seems out of line , so am going to step out on this play , risking $2016/2000 at -106 .
In the interest of full disclosure , this season for me has been decidedly sub-par (record posted in tracker forum) , but if there ever was a play that can turn it around , this is it . If this game comes up a loser , i will , in all likelyhood pack it in for the season , as I don't usually play after the All Star break anyway. So, heres hoping this is a rocking chair win on two teams going in opposite directions right now , and taking a small fav vs, a hurting TWINKIES squad seems like a good time to step up and take a swing for the fences !!!! I have been hesitant to post in the main forum this year as I cannot seem to string wins together , so take that fwiw , but guys , this one could be an easy win tonight , so I am hoping any who have faith grab this number now and lets git er done !!!!!

Yeah; a cigar game would be nice for sure...I might just step out on the Jays myself...love the matchup but not wild about the situation or timing I should say...I do think the Jays and Marcum are certainly the right side tonight however.

Jimmy Sorry I Let Ya Down

This is EXACTLY why I hate posting picks. If I lose no big deal, but I feel terrible when someone follows my lead and this happens. This was one of my strongest plays for a while. Sure thought Jays would rack up some runs off Baker, they wouldn`t have needed much. This is a real hard loss. To top it all off Cirillo who was hurt gets the game winning blooper. FM

no worries my man , we are all big boys here, and like I said, this was a play I was gonna make one way or the other. You didn't let me , or anyone else, down , we just ran into a mediocre pitcher (at best ), who pitched a gem, and as is more often than not the case, the bullpens decided this one. Can't take anything away from either starter, was a good game ,and neither team really deserved to lose. I understand your concern , and I feel the same way when I take a play public, but , in the end , we each are responsible for our own decisions. I took a stand here, it lost , shit happens, but the Sun will come up again tomorrow, and I'm pretty sure that there will be many more wins AND losses, but keeping it in perspective is the key. Here's to puttin' this one in the rear view, and movin ' on !!!!!!:toast:

You Guys Are Right Of Course And After All These Yrs

of gaming (over 50) I know it too! Some losses are harder to take than others. It always pisses me off when someone says "I had the right side" when he lost the game. But this really was one of those IMHO. Given that LU w/Marcum, w/o prescience I`d do it 10 out of 10 times. To hell w/it it`s over and as Miss O`Hara said "Tomorrow`s another day". BOL to all, we try again. Only 62 to go TG!
