Didn't think sucker bets existed in baseball until I saw yesterday's Red Sox result. Wouldbe pointed that one out.

Can someone explain to me why Milwaukee is only -135? The Brewers are on fire. They have the pitching edge. Houston stinks.

91 percent of the public is on the Brew Crew. 70 percent of the Wager Line players are as well.

Thoughts?

I don't think Vargas is all that great, who knows if Prince will play vs. Wandy, bullpen has struggled recently, Houston hitting the ball better lately, Wandy coming off a half-decent start vs. a very good Angels team, Vargas could be on the way out of that rotation b/c of Gallardo pitching well and Capuano coming back soon.

Oh, I don't think Vargas is good at all. The thing is, he's 6-1 and the Brewers are 11-2 when he pitches. The public sees those stats and falls in love with him.

i was about to jump on mil -1.5, just like the winner i cashed last night

-The right-hander held San Francisco scoreless in the first five innings Wednesday, before giving up a grand slam in the sixth.
-He still managed to earn a 7-5 victory as the
-Brewers improved to 11-2 in his 13 starts this season.
-Vargas is 3-2 with a 3.60 ERA in seven career games versus the Astros, -including a 3-1 victory on April 29 when he pitched five scoreless innings and scattered four hits.
-The division-leading Brewers have won five of seven meetings between the teams this season
-are an NL-best 28-13 at home
-won 10 of its last 12 games overall
-Wandy Rodriguez (4-6, 4.20), who will take the mound for Houston. The left-hander has struggled to a 1-4 record with a 6.08 ERA in seven road starts
-Rodriguez is 2-3 with a 4.95 ERA in eight career games versus the Brewers, including a 6-4 defeat on April 21
-Houston has dropped four of its last five games and is 15-26 on the road - the worst mark in the NL.

I passed. Was going to bet Houston but couldnt.

Why is the line what it is?

Mil hits lefties pretty well and Houst cant hit righties....actually anyone at all. LOL.

Seriously though, comparing the 2 pitchers.

VARGAS MIl 11-2 in his starts 3.88 ERA......1.48 WHIP 3.88 BBA 3.30RICKEY
WANDY HOU 7-7 in his starts 4.20 ERA.......1.23 WHIP 2.04 BBA 5.56 RICKEY

THats why the line is the way it is....Vargas has poor numbers. Both pitchers are comparable......its really amazing that the Brew Crew has won 11 of his 13 starts this year with those numbers hes posted. Happy gambling.:howdy:
