baseball is a weird game. haren owns basically the entire american league this year. but for some reason, grady sizemore isnt included. sizemore was hitting better than .500 against haren coming in to tonight and has added a double and a homer in his first two ABs. cliff lee pitcher around some trouble for cleveland. still a long way from done. i dont see haren letting up more than 1 more run.

Prodigy,

I almost played Cleveland over the total tonight. When they face good pitchers, their offense raises the level of their play, and their overall play for that matter. They come into trouble when they face pitcher's that are bottom of the barrel or middle of the road it seems and lose focus....I just notice this moreso with the Indians than other teams.

i agree with your line of thinking, although i tend to think its more of a soft-tosser vs. power pitcher kind of thing. remember the way jamie moyer used to absolutely OWN the indians? then weak ass mike maroth did the same thing with the tigers. bowie and chico were soft tossing junk for washington over the weekend and cleveland looked clueless and frustrated. they seem to hit the ball much better against guys who bring it right at them.

Did have an 'over' HPU for this one, so it should be interesting to see if it reaches the total.

I wish I knew if this line of thinking was going to work tonight for the Bo Sox. Felix is gonna throw right at them. Bo Sox getting plus money is hard to pass up.

im a huge fan of hernandez but my gut feeling says that, yes, boston will hit him well tonight. red sox and indians take similar approaches at the plate. we'll see. id love to back the sox but gabbard is such a wild card. no clue what kind of performance he'll turn in. but i think boston wins tonight despite hernandez being a stud. we'll see.

Watched Bruce Drennan "All Bets are Off" last night, and threw up. I would like to punch him in his throat so he can't speak anymore.

sadly, drennan is better than the puke bags on wkrn and wtam. just horrible media in cleveland. like i said, wish we could adopt the akron beacon journal's staff to cover the 3 pro teams.

only reason i have any respect for drennan is because he's a mad gambler who went down in the big gambling bust a few yrs ago. gotta love a guy like that who comes back and has a tv show called 'all bets are off'.

I thought Drennan used to gamble, cause he had some guy from S.I. on the show during the NBA finals, and the guy took a cheap shot at Brucey and said something about losing a bet or something along those lines. Drennan got upset and knew it was a low blow, and I figured he had some sort of past, and the name sums it up. I dislike him with a passion.
