I want to get the Jim Rome podcasts downloaded to my Ipod but @ $29.95 every 6 months it seems kind of petty of him to charge his listeners. Does anybody know where I can get his podcasts for free?

$5 seems pretty cheap, really.

I listen to the show live, but if I couldn't, I'd probably pay for this.

The cost doesn't bother me what bothers me is that every other show that comes on that station is free on podcast. Plus considering the radio is free service paid for by its advitisors. Why should I shell out extra dough?

Bandwidth costs money and I would assume, although I'm not certain, that podcasts have the commercials cut out of them and are nothing but show, thus if you're not listening to the ads, why should the advertising dollars support your listening? In any event, it boils down to one thing: he can charge for it because people are willing to pay for it.

I stream Rome while I am at work but becasue I am an inside sales rep I miss some of the show when I am talkng on the phone or doing shit around the office. It would be nice to listen to it when I am commuting or just relaxing at home.

The fee is worth it. I got it a few weeks back and when I can't listen live I just listen later. Plus you have access to all the classic interviews, smack offs, and other good stuff. Well worth it.
