He left Clemens out there to dry in the 6th inning. Knowing the guy is old, he had nobody ready to come out of the pen on this hot and humid night. He was on fumes after the first two hitters reached. Result:O's score 4...game over

If a pitcher can't get through the 6th inning, he shouldn't be pitching in the majors.

They knew that when they signed him, it's the bullpen and Torre's misuse of his relievers that really kills them, IMO.

Scoring 0 runs is the offense's fault, not Torre's. You just can't win games without run support. But yes, Clemens should have been watched more carefully.

During the broadcast, one of the announcers was talking about an discussion he had with the Yankee coaching staff. The guy asked "So who's you're long reliver in this game?" and they just sat and stared at him.

I like blaming Torre but tonight there was nothing he could have done

When the bats are silent they are silent

OT everyone thinks the Yanks have a great lineup, but after Jeter, Arod and Posada, no one else is any good

Matsui is decent and every one else is over rated and overpaid

LOL. He had pitched five innings of shutout ball, given up a couple hits, and thrown only 75 pitches. Having a reliever warming up would have been ridiculous.
