1st start in about 200 with no strikeouts. Averaging less than 6 innings per start. ERA well over 5.00. Record drops to 1-3. Of course, wouldn't have mattered how well he pitched tonight, 'cause the Offense That Will Score 1000 runs couldn't be bothered to score at all against the mighty Orioles. Like the guy said to Tom Cruise in the "Color of Money", "It's like a nightmare!" (for Skank fans/bettors). 1-7 on the current road trip. That 9 game winning streak is receding in the rear view like my mother-in-law being left at the bus station. Ahhhhh, baseball is fun these days! :missingte :aktion033 :banger: :dancefool :puppy: :toast: :howdy: :lolBIG:

He did not pitch that bad tonight. His offense gave him shit for run support. The Yankees pitching has not been the problem of late.

No way he pitches as well in the AL as in the weaker NL. Why did they bring him in relief the other day? Yanks could have actually made some headway if they played good baseball the last week but instead they have gotten crushed. I hope Clemens gets wacked a few more times.

If you were in his shoes and were offered the money he was OFFERED, would you have done it?

The man is making nearly 1 million per start. WTF! 1-3 w/an ERA of 5? What was Yankee mangagement thinking? I would take that fuking Cashman out and shoot the SOB if I were a Yankee diehard, but as you all know I hate the Fukers worse than any other organazation in all of pro sports......therefore Ill LMAO after every Yankee loss and even more soo when Clemens gets his ass beat.....I LOVE IT

Let's put aside the money and expectations for a moment: he pitched to an ERA of SIX tonight, and you call that "...not...that bad..."??? When you DO take the money and expectations into consideration, it's an absolute joke...and the Skanks aren't laughing...

He didn't get shelled as one would think. Did he pitch a great game? No, he did not but he pitched well enough to keep his team in it. The offense didn't offer him any support or any of the other starters of late.

How'd Proctor pitch last night? Three walks in the 9th and with the finale being the walk off walk - I'd say it could not get any worse than that.

Never have understood why everyone is rooting so hard for this guy to fail. Is he overpaid? Of course. What pro athlete isn't? He's still a good pickup for the Yankees compared to what else they have to go with. They can afford to pay him so why not? This guy is too much of a competitor to embarass himself. Hard to win with 0 run support. Keep fading him. Think it will be a long term losing proposition. GL.

I think people want him to fail because they want the Yanks to fail - MLB is not a level playing field - so unless you like the Yankees you want them to fail because they are trying to buy a championship year in and year out - paying Clemens this type of money is outlandish - I'm sure fans from small markets just love watching this blow up in NY's face - a team like the Royals will never win a championship and if they develop any players the Yankees will buy them - of course, the second Marlins team is the rare anomaly - but look where are their stud pitchers are - Burnett, Beckett , Pavano and Penny - all gone.

but keep this in mind...last time they cleaned shop...the young players they received in trades developed and won another World Series.

I would luv to see the Yanks just blow it up and start from scratch...the FA era has destroyed their 'team.'

The first Marlin team was a purchased ring - the second team was just brilliantly filled with real deal prospects.

I root for him to fail because he's a Yankee ... and I hate his guts ... the dipstick left Boston to go "closer to home" and ended up in Toronto.

And he was a fat slob who was getting crappy just before he left us after we gave him a HUGE contract. And then when he shows up in Toronto, he is in the best shape of his life and has a career season. I will always hate him for that alone, nevermind the fact he went to the Yanks. Which just cements Benedict Clemens legacy.

Yes I know...but those prospects (that won the 2nd WS) were results of the 1st World Series fire sale...a strong majority of them were.
