Nice 1st Round Pick. They Could've Got This Kid In The Late 2nd Rd. Couldn't Even Start For His College Team. Good Job Pat The Rat!!!!!!

Sure Hope Eddie, Gary, Antione And Zo Are Back.

Who do you think they should have selected at #20?

They wanted Law, and tried to trade up to grab him. However, nobody would bite. What was the better option at 20?

A few things....

First of all, I didnt say I was happy with the pick. However, I feel it may turn out to be a solid pick. Who knows how good this kid can be? He is 6'5 and athletic, all while being a solid 3 PT shooter.

I agree that they need a PG desperately, however nobody worth a shit was still available at #20. I am sure they will address that need in the offseason.

Also, as for them needing a forward. They are planning on pursuing Rashard Lewis. I highly doubt he will come here, but that is what they are planning.

Also, dont be so quick to think that everything you read in the papers or listen to on radio is fact. If you or anyone else think there is a chance Cook may not even make the roster, then you are clueless. Who knows how much he will play, but he WILL be on the roster.

Reality is the NBA draft is one big crap shoot - SA got a guy with the 28th pick that was supposed to be a lottery pick - I am sure he'll be waiting tables in 3 years - and they got Parker and Manu after the entire league passed on them - who knows - I know the GM's know a little more than us and the local papers.

spread, a college 3pt shooter does not make you a nba 3 pt shooter.

they have zero chance of getting lewis. for starters no cap space. they have a much better chance of getting artest.

then i guess i'm clueless because i would not be surprised if he doesn't make the roster. better chance of him remaining heat property and playing in a different league[barron and wright].

Don't care to go back and forth with you because it is not like I am in love with the guy. However, he had very impressive workouts. And when he was working out for the Heat, he was shooting NBA 3 Pointers. :103631605

Who knows WTF Riley is going these days? He is pissing me off right about now. Although I am a die hard Heat fan, I have never been a big fan of Pat. Still wish that Stan was here coaching this team. Loved that guy. There is not much about Pat that I like. However, when it comes to personnel moves, he is solid. Who knows what he is going to do about coaching, but my guess is he will give it one more go. That is what Shaq wants and also what Zo wants. I do think that Erik Spoelstra will be the head coach pretty soon.

Well there goes Kapono....off to Toronto for 4 years/24 million....a great shooter, but overall just a decent player....grossly overpaid.

The Heat already had no or at least limited three point shooting - this hurts.

There was no shot the Heat were going to keep him anyway. This was expected. And I dont blame them. 6 million a year for a 3 PT specialist? That is way too much, as you can always find a solid, off the bench, 3 Pt shooter.
