My Hall of Fame of costing me $$$$$$$

Every person on this board if you have bet baseball for more than a year has that one player or 2 that is just a curse to your bankroll.

That pitcher that always blows the lead when you bet on his team, but he strikes out the side when you bet against him.

The hitter that strikes out in the clutch when you bet on him, but always seems to clear the bases with a gap shot when you bet against him.

Here is my list. Lets have fun with this.

Alan Embree.

The only player in MLB history who has played for all 30 teams.
No matter who he plays for, he always blows it for me. If I have an under, he is sure to give up just enough runs to blow it for me. If hes in there to protect a lead, he is sure to blow it.

Cris Reitsma.

Who can forget those glory years in ATLANTA? God im so glad to see him go. It just brings a smile to my face watching him blow games for the MARINERS now. This guy has cost me so much over the years, both as a better and as a fan.

Billy Wagner.

89.945654% of the saves he has blown in his career are games that I had bet on his team to win.

But when I bet against him, he is always a lock for 3ks and good night.

Steve Finely.

I tell you what, this guy must have been a .750 hitter in the games I bet against his team, and an .088 hitter in the games I bet on his team.

He has been the most feared hitter in games that I have bet against him for years. Steve Finely hates me. There is just no other way to put it.

Thats my hall of shame:monsters-

I have to give this some more thought because there are so many. One that comes directly to mind is Nick Punto. If I have the other side or the under, Nick Punto puts up Hall of Fame numbers. If one was to base his performance when I have the Twins or the Over, he'd be out of baseball.

gary bennett chokes in every cardinal rally when i bet the over or the cards...hes is the worst.

ryan dempster

adam dunn k's 2-3 times every time i bet the reds or the over

dan wheeler is the one of the worst beats i ever took..

LAST YEAR I HAD 5K ON PADRES AT +100 ISH AND HOFFMAN GAVE UP 2 OF 4 BACK TO BACK BACK HOMERS VS THE DODGERS IN A VERY HISTORIC MOMENT......IF U HAVE 5K ON A TEAM WINNING 9-5 IN BOTTOM OF 9TH AND HOFFMAN ON THE MOUND...THAT FEELS LIKE LOSING 10K, NOT 5...

Chipper bats .800 when I have the other team.

Zambrano never wins if I take him and of course throws a shutout when I go against, same with Johan Santana (I usually bet against him though)

Ichiro.

Big Papi seems to have his worst games when I need him.

Garret Anderson brings his paper bat when i have him ,looks like he could never get another hit in his life.

Larry Walker is my MVP...he cost me 5 dimes with one swing of the bat in the WS vs Bos. I need a 1-2-3 9th and Walker hit a meaningles homer with one out in the 9th, which caused me to split two large bets instead of sweep.

I have to add Bartolo Colon. The year he won the Cy Young, I layed big chalk with him 3 times. I don't think he made it past the 3rd inning in any of those. I recall throwing the Angels in several parlays one weekend when he was on the hill against KC. By the time he was lifted, it was 8-0 KC in the 2nd inning. Of course when I wagered against him that year, he pitched like he deserved the award.

Mesa is probably one of the biggest lifetime for me. Damn, one year I must have been in on every blown save. When I did have him, it was 3 up and 3 down. Unreal.
