These things will cost a couple hundred less after a few months. Remember when the razor first came out? Those things cost like $500 and now you can get them for $50. They didn't suddenly become cheaper to make. If assholes wouldn't overpay so much for everything just to have the new, hot item maybe costs would start down instead of having to come down.
I've had the same pos phone for 4ish years now I believe. It's fuckin huge like the one skins has, canary yellow, doesn't play music, doesn't flip, and it barely sends text messages. Maybe I'll get a razor when they become free when upgrade time comes around. By then there will be the Blazr3000 or some shit that will cost $750.

I'm not following.
I've had the same contract for a few years...and every couple of years I upgrade...or get a new free phone...it is free. There is usually some kind of $25 activation fee or something like that, but that doesn't compare to paying $150+ for the phone itself..or $200+ it would have cost on the open.
Apparently at the NYC Apple store, at midnight on the day of launch you could walk in and get one. One guy commented he waited 15 mins in line to get one. While those poor fools waited the whole week to get one.
