I think the Md/Dc/Va region is very good, all things considered...a strong economy, lots of opportunity, the weather is pretty decent, not horrible winters, no real major weather problems (quakes, hurricanes) , and youy don't get all those weird insects the south has...the cost of living is pretty high though, but there are more opportunities too.

It all depends on what you're looking for. I love the dry summer heat out here-beats the hell out of dealing with humidity.

The cost of living is high, and the traffic can really suck-but this is my Disneyland. I just wish it snowed about 10 feet more each winter

After living in the city for 25 years and then moving on the ocean,it's like 2 different worlds.Could'nt pay me enough to move back. It's like taking a dose of poison for me to drive to Balt/DC for anything.

I think it is like a beautiful lady. b:thumbsup: eauty is in the eye of the beholder. I'm looking to move myself and after looking and traveling back and forth trying to find the right place i think i'm going to pull the trigger and move to South Carolina. I love the coast , don't mind the heat, love the Golf and hate cold winters.I have gone to six different spots in the last two years from east to west and stayed for a month at a time to try to get the feel of the people and the climate and various other things and feel like it is the best for me. I really think you need to go there and stay for two or three weeks and see if that is what you want.

For me - I like year round warm weather - and an upbeat lifestyle - so South Florida or California would be it - maybe Phoenix or Vegas.

I agree, the city regions of those areas are not for me either.

It doesn't really fit into an upbeat lifestyle - SA has great golf courses and great property values but it ain't for me - and the NBA regular season is boring to me - I really only like watching the playoffs which is now a season in and of itself - I like Boston and the Cape/Nantucket in the summer.

I like both England and Cyprus, England April-October and Cyprus October-April would be ideal eventually.

I'll give my opinion on Denmark once I've been there for a while ;o)

NBA regular season is pretty boring. Cape/Nantucket is beautiful and it doesn't get much better than that. Good choice.
