I really think it's going to be the Mariners.

Angels are what you call "pretenders". Dont know how they got to .625 but no way they finish like that.

Thats a great team Seattle has, was pretty impressed by them.

Beltre is a 2nd half player. Hes been that way his whole career. Even during his brutal seasons in LA. If he can be the 40 homer 130rbi type guy that he is capable of being, they could be dangerous. Would have liked to have seen them keep Meche, the are about 1 starting pitcher short.

Still like the Angels for that very reason. Angels have 4 quality starters, M's only 3.

Mariners were my sleepers at the beginning of the season...but I gotta go w/ the Angels...too well rounded.

Angels...and for fun.

It's funny how fans get sucked in when a team is playing well. M's were stinking the joint up, before they got hot..AT HOME. And beating up the NL is pretty meaningless, Even the Sox sweep isn't that good, but the got the Sox 5th & 6th starter and caught them at the end of a road trip.

Angels are among the top 3 or 4 in the Al, M's are just around mid-pack.

NO CHANCE the Mariners overtake the Angels. Lackey, Weaver, Escobar, Colon, by far better than Felix and PRAY FOR RAIN. Putz is the man, but the rest of the bully is suspect. Angels will get another bat before the deadline.

You don't think Seattle will get any help before the trade deadline? They got a kid Adam Jones that will help them in the outfield, Sexson is starting to hit, and maybe they can deal for another starting pitcher...

Well...if we're comparing potential trade dead line deals...that only supports the Angels' case more.

Not sure there is a deeper prospect team, than the Angels. They have the ability to spend the money & have plenty of trade value.

Mariners still have to worry about signing Ichiro in the off season. I would imagine that will be weighed, on whether they can take on another high contract @ the trade dead line.

Of course, you can't leave out Oakland making a run. Grabbed some of them at matchbook at 10-1 to win the division. I like my chances of buying out of it for profit on both sides. Bullpen will get healthy. Long way to go. GL.

Angeles far and away Rob. Seattle starting pitching will not get it done. Great bullpen though.
