Red Sox Call Up Jacoby Ellsbury...

Pretty surprising move by the Red Sox...figuring they would keep the highly touted Ellsbury in AAA for the whole season.

I guess they no longer feel comfortable w/ Willy Mo Pena in CF. Even w/ a huge first place lead in the division.

He's batting 9th in the lineup tonight.

Ellsbury hit his 20th home run, becoming the sixth Red Sox player to have at least 20 home runs and 20 stolen bases (he has 31) in a season. It’s been accomplished seven times, the last time by Nomar Garciaparra in 1997.
