This team is obviously just not playing. They need a spark badly. They are still very much alive and in the race. I have never said fire Torre and I am not blaming him but they are not getting it done and he should be the first to go. As a Sox fan I hope they do not (to go along with all the other terrible decisions the Yanks have made the last couple of years) fire him but let this sparkless team continue to flounder. There is way too much talent to play this poorly. I would:

1. Fire Torre - not sure of the hire right now
2. Make a couple of trades and more moves to change the chemistry if possible

Now is the time.

Joe Girardi...one of the members of the 'true Yankee' teams...hard nosed...no non sense type of guy...and probably has at least a clue on how to manage a bullpen.

Fire Torre and Cashman both............

:WTF:

Saturday Oakland 7 NY 0
Sunday Oakland 8 NY 4 (4th inning)

I have followed the Yankees for many many years and always sticking up for them and saying good things about them.

( Ever since the day in 1967 I sneaked my little brother out of the house and we flew from Florida to New York, went to Yankee Stadium and then watched Mantle hit a Home Run ! )

Now I have had it !!!!!!!!

The Boss should take the following action:

1. Fire Cashman and Torre both ( ASAP )
Hire Joe Giradi to replace Torre........
Hire anybody to replace Cashman.......

2. Cut Giambi and Abreu

3. Clean house and get rid of all of the middle relievers
Especially Proctor (He sucks big time)

4. Bring up some young blood pitchers from the minors.

5. This off season get rid of all of the old, over priced and underachieving starting pitchers.

6. Quit acquiring over the hill players and get younger for next year !!

:WTF: :WTF:

The Joe Torre Odd Move of the Day

Robby Cano batting 3rd...although he's been struggling big time. Nothing like moving a struggling hitter into the prime spot of the lineup.

I'm also sure we'll see Scott Proctor today...its a blow out/tie game/marginal Yanks lead situation(s).

I think they should sign Torre to a new long term contract worth say $20m a year.

Right on cue...Proctor is IN the game..

What the fuck is his role in the bullpen?

From pitching mop up duty, pitching in a tie game, or being a set up man in a 1 run game...he's in the game.
