FSN pittsburgh reported that about 1,000 out of 27,000 walked out. Don't know if they can be trusted though. That POS Nutting probably told them what to say.

Fuck him. Pirates are the 3rd more profitable franchise. Yet have the 3rd lowest payroll. Even worse.. Mark Cuban wanted to buy the team.. you kno what that means, and they wouldn't sell b/c they just want all the money n never re-invest. They need to burn in hell for being so greedy.

It was a gorgeous Saturday in June and a bobblehead night! (Pittsburghers love thier bobbleheads....they always usually seem to sell out or get over 30K easily. That and fireworks.) The protest was poorly organized but ESPN gave it great coverage. Better than the Pittsburgh media.......Anyways, there were 11,000 no shows on a game normally sold out and approx 2,000 more fans walked out after the 3rd innning for 1 inning, most of whom returned to their seats (which was ok by the the protest organizers). You had the choice to protest for an inning or leave completely. Only about 200 or so left totally.

I heard they might tear down Wrigley or was talking about it?

The upcoming sale of the Cubs is very tricky. The guy who just bought the Chicago Tribune is not a sports guy. He will spin the Cubs off, not sure about WF. What will have to be done is for them to play at the White Sox park for a year or two while a major rehab goes on. That will be in the next 10-15 years.

Went to Boston last year, and those fans there were unreal. The atmosphere was electric before & during the game.....that is what a baseball town should be like. Very historic stadium, but newer stadiums are obviously a lot nicer.

Great atmosphere for baseball though and the Sox were playing the suck ass Pirates. I can only imagine what its like up there when the Yanks come to town.
