I am a rookie when it comes to betting baseball, but I was wondering has anybody ever capped a game and the outcome on which way you bet has been because of the umpire behind the plate. For example:

Umpire Trends - Doug Eddings

 •
Under is 4-1 in Eddings' last 5 games behind home plate.
Home team is 4-1 in Eddings' last 5 games behind home plate vs. Chicago.
Under is 22-6-1 in Eddings' last 29 Sunday games behind home plate.
Over is 5-2-1 in Eddings' last 8 games behind home plate vs. Chicago.
Under is 9-4 in Eddings' last 13 games behind home plate vs. Kansas City.
White Sox are 4-9 in their last 13 games with Eddings behind home plate.
Royals are 1-4 in their last 5 games with Eddings behind home plate.
 • Road team is 13-3 in Eddings' last 16 games behind home plate vs. Kansas City.

Hope everyone has a very profitable Sunday.

i always take a look, but most of the time they are not up. if i like a o/u i look at the ump, and if he leans heavy the way im going i up it a notch, but i dont pay for a service and usually u have to wait pretty close to game time for umps

I am sure you aware of the fact that the umpires rotate counter clockwise.
So whoever umpired third base yesterday will go behind the plate today.
The only bad thing like you said is at the start of the series you have to wait 30 minutes before first pitch to see who's behind the plate, but every other game of the series you know a day in advance.
