For the record.
Regarding airfare - yes we will be having what I will refer to as a mini Bash on the weekend of August 17th so if you have airfare aready paid for or reserved you will without a doubt have a Bash to attend. Regarding the hotel, unfortuantely we are still negotiating with a half dozen venues between the two dates (Aug 17th and Sept. 7th weekends) and cannot officially announce which Las Vegas hotel/casino has won our bid for either date.
I will go on record and say that there definitely will be a Bash on both of those weekends with the Aug 17th dates a courtesy extended by Rx.com management to Rxers who already commited themselves to that date because we announced that most likely that would be the original weekeend and for those Rxers who can make it to Las Vegas in August but not in Septemeber.
Xpanda is doing her very best to assure the best venue is made available for both dates and the rest of the Rx.com mangement is commited to making sure both events are going to be great fun for all who attend.
The Rx.com mods are working hard on obtaining generous prizes and contests to make these events are all that much more fun for every Rxer and their guest who attend either event regardless of date.
FYI -- The September Bash will host the poker tournament and college football handicappng championship. Both Bashes will host reception dinners with open bar and great cash and prize giveaways.
While neither date has a firm contract in place with a host Las Vegas hotel/casino we will soon be able to announce venus for both dates and I am certain Xpanda will post an August Bash date sign up thread soon also. Please be a bit more patient and stay tuned.

Mrs VVV and I are looking forward to the August event as it will not be possible for us to make the September bash. Hoping for the Flamingo as we already have free rooms for Wednesday and Thursday that week.

All I can do is ask everyone to be patient as I know Xpanda is working very hard to make two separate functions work and will post something soon about who will be at the August function.

I will be able to announce the August bash destination and reservation instructions as soon as I get the go-ahead from Rick. That hotel is chosen, it's just a matter of Rick formally booking so that our guests can call in their reservation. Expect this announcement tonight or early tomorrow.
Unfortunately I still don't have the September hotel finalised, as I am *still* waiting on that last quote. Doing what I can to get that in.

thanks game.I was a MOD here at one time and..I have helped at many bashes from the very first one many years ago and I know every year is different with different crap going on and and its not always easy to set it up, takes alot of dedication to do it ...to bug the site owners for approval and to bug the hotels for quotes and plan the agenda at the event
....even checking people in for the poker tourney is hair raising at times.... what is amazing is this site gives away this for FREE every year 2 nights in vegas and a poker tourney and a HUGE banquet with great food with open bar !...its amazing , not to mention all the free prizes and setting up sponsors for the prizes..... all for us posters..... :banger:
