Ok, who knows the cheapest place to get a car for a week. Going to be flying into tampa and need a car. I want as cheap as possiable, the car will literally be driving to and from airport, maybe an occasional stop downtown siesta key and to/from golf course, but thats it.

Their are like 9 million different places to look for one, im hoping someone has a quick and cheap way. If it matters any, I have an entertainment book.

Right now the best ive found is 316 for a week (july 21-28)

Thanks for any help, just give me a website if you happen to have one and ill do the leg work!

I rent every weekend and sometimes for a week at a time. The best price hops around from place to place with no logical pattern. Thrifty had the best prices in my area last week - 169 canadian tomatoes + taxes for a compact car. A month ago, it was Enterprise. For a long while, I could reserve an economy car at Hertz for $16,95 a day, then get upgraded to a Mustang GT for an extra $15 a day, instead of the regular $100+ a day.

Make sure you go through all the major rental places and check out every damn promotion on their websites... also check on your credit card company's website for additional rebates.

you can use my company discount code

for enterprise if you like

24D5642 company letters KCM

I would be surprised if you get cheaper than that unless you get one of those deals they email out for $10 a day at select places and not sure Tampa gets too many of those offers.

We recently rented a Nissan Altima for a week from Enterprise, at the airport, and returned it to same, for $184.00 total, incl tax.

I think by reserving the car online, it may be a few pennies cheaper. Other cars in that class are Chev Impala, Chrysler Sebring, etc.

I just did your exact trip two weeks ago (Tampa, Siesta Key) plus Orlando, I rented a premium car from National for $193...that was 8 days, including taxes.

I just checked on their site and they have a last minute special from the tampa airport at $169/day for an economy size, but there must be something going on during your dates because the price came back over $300. You might call them and see if they will honor their their "last minute special" posted on their website

Thanks guys for all your help!

Got myself a nice ride, ill be cruising in florida with the top down, and after taxes and everything it ended up being less than 250 (I think it was like 200 before). Btw, damn, they tax you for all types of shit in florida, i was looking over the bill, wtf is "cost of doing business", also got the "florida surcharge" and the bat/tire fee (should'nt that be part of the cost?). Anyways, Ill take it.

Thanks again guys

Based on the short number and distance of trips you've mentioned, you could likely pay taxicabs. Most travel within Tampa would be $10-15 or less. (Airport to hotel, hotel to Channelside, hotel to golf course etc, hotel to beach.)

Especially preferable if any of your vacation includes drinking to Happy levels.
