1. Twins +173

I have an 84 yr old buddy that all he does is live for the yankees and his family and Ive never seen a guy so disgusted with a ballteam in my life, I keep telling him the yanks should pull out of this slump but Im thinking its not coming now, he wached the two innings yesterday and just turned the tv off the rest of the day, this team is just a big old SUV out on the road eating up the gas (-$2865 on the moneyline this season). Losers of 9 of 11 and being one hit by chad gaudin if thats not rock bottom I dont know what is. As for this game I know that Boofs only start vs the yanks was a pummeling going only 4.3 innings and allowing 6ER, but that was back when the yanks were hitting, now the pitchers are pitching afraid to give up more than 2 runs becasue the yanks offense is just not producing. A superb performance from Scott baker going the distance and admirable jobs by slowey santana and silva have given the twinkies a rested bullpen to go tonight if needed; whereas, Pettite has really put his team in a bind going only 1.3 innings yesterday and though Clemens has been alright thus far he is not the rocket we know, the team has lost in each of his last three starts and he does not look like more than a six inning pitcher, alert the bullpen torre, what bullpen, unless he can hand the ball to rivera in the 7th yanks could be in trouble. Horrendous line for yankee backers, gotta hop on twinkies tonight at a very healthy price at 20-18 on the road and 14-18 as a dog ill take those odds any day.

2. Cubs -153

A tale of two teams here, both going in spurts, currently the cubs are scoring runs while the Nats are not. Cubs are 8-2 over their last 10 while the Nats are 3-7. Watched the cubbies yesterday on WGN and i think they are getting their act together, it looks like their having fun out there again. The nats over their last 5 games have scored 3, 2, 2, 0 and 2, thats simply not enough to beat this team. These two played a series earlier this season while the cubs were sucking and they swept washington after being behind most of the way in the games.

153/100

3. Philly/HOU OVER 9.5 -110

Phills are the highest scoring offense in the NL at over 5 runs per game and that not just because of their hitting ballpark as they score over 5 runs on the road as well. Houston can be anemic at times but is that right they scored 12 yesterday, none then 9 and 8 vs colorodo, pretty impressive. I have liked moyer this season but the houston offense is hitting a lot right now and I absolulty love going against woody williams this guy should not be in the league, 3-10 this season with a 5.5 ERA and his career vs this team shows a whole lot of 4,5 or 6 runs going 5 or 6 innings, this all adds up to unrealiable bullpens late and the philly rooks went in the mets series and really used of the bullpen. The total has gone over 5 of the last 6 times these two have played including all three this season by scores of 11-4, 8-5, and 9-6. There is no pitching when these guys get together. Take the over.

220/200

GL to all and to all a good night.
