Attention Green Doberman..Imperial Palace

I played horses and sports at the Imperial Palace for 10 years....1995 to 2005. Hadn't been there in just a little over 2 years. I called to book a room and they erased all of my points. Then they had the nerve to tell me they would give me the Casino E Rate after telling me I could apply for a new card with zero points.

I played over a million dollars in horse bets alone (they get a good percentage of that.....even though they cap your points at 50,000.....I was always at the maximum and could pay for my room and food when I came into town.

I let them know today that if they didn't straighten it out by noon tomorrow that there would be a price to pay. Here is the email from the Race Book manager who lets me know that she remembers me...and then tries to charge me for a room. Pass this on to whomever you wish. I told them if they called my bluff that they wouldn't like the result, so consider this the first shot fired.

I am sorry that you had so many problems planning your trip and getting passed around from person to person. Yes I do remember who you are. However, it specifically states on your card with your number that points are valid for 18 months following your last visit. Since there was no activity on the account for over 2 years the account went dormant and was deleted. I cannot add any points that were deleted. You are welcome to sign up for another card and start earning points again.

If you would like me to assist you in a room reservation I would be happy to do that. I can arrange for you to get a casino E rate which is less than the standard rack rate for a room. I can also send you the rules of the Turf club if you would like.

I read your email and passed it along immediately to the person you had mentioned in it as I just received it today, my first day back from vacation.
I would like to see this resolved to your satisfaction, but do not understand why you would choose to use the verbage "there will be a price to pay" and "consider this the first shot fired".
I recommend you work with the person who you are communicating with to try and reach a resolution to your satisfaction.

I hope you are kidding. It is not big deal to me. Other than relying on those points for future trips.....that's why I played there almost exclusively. If they want to shut me down then why shouldn't I tell people if they don't do the right thing. I am not even 40 years old, so if they don't straighten it out then they will miss out on maybe 40 years worth of horse and sports action. I think they make over 10 percent on the horse action, so let them shoot themselves in the foot if they want to.

I am not a victim, but the truth is that she remembers me and tried to charge me for a room.

The price to pay is simply BAD PUBLICITY. Numerous times I sent my buddy Western Unions betting horses and sports in the last two years. What they are telling me is that if he would have used my code just once then everything would be OK. He used his code and got the bonus points and mine got deleted.

I called last week to schedule a weekend trip. Nobody returned my call. Fine....so I will go some other weekend. I call last night and the lady essentially hung up on me. Today I get an email telling me that they remember who I am (validating my play, in essence), and now they want to charge me for a room.....NO THANKS.

So, I can either pay for a hotel room someplace else and start all the way from scratch and give up 10 years worth of play, or I can post on a gambling message board and tell the story about what happened.

It is my legal right to say whatever I want.

It's not your legal right to say anything. This website isn't govern by any US laws thankfully. This post can be deleted in 2 seconds and quite frankly should be.

Go elsewhere then, with your attitude and your childlike nature who would want you as a customer I doubt Harrah's bottom line is going to suffer too much. About bad publicity I doubt many people here are going to change there mind one way or another about the IP based on anything someone with 3 whole posts now have to say.

Also real classly ghosting since I doubt you just came across this site tonight to try to harrass G.D. This isn't his job he just comes here to unwind and kill some time. He shouldn't have to be bugged about his job or his duties while he is on here.

I thought so as well, so I didn't think it mattered. Then my buddy calls me up and says "Good News", later in the year they are switching over the IP's points into Harrah's computer system and yo can use the points anywhere. So I tell him....ok, just go double check my points (always max)....because I am thinking about coming out there in a week or so anyways. So, he reports back to me that he gave them my number and my number wasn't in the system. So I decided to call and got the runaround. then, finally I get a response denying me my 10 years worth of points I earned from 1995 to 2005 ( I lived out there twice during that time....lots of play).

The best part was trying to get me to pay for a room after acknowledging my play. It only takes 2,000 points for a room.....I play that in the first few hours of horses.

I'm not as worked up about it as you might think, but figure it would have been worse to say nothing. Three years ago Jay Kornegay called me up and invited me to go Deep Sea Fishing with a group from the IP, so he apparently cared enough about a small situation that I had at the time.

I passed on that like I passed on the E Rate for the room. The IP is a unique place...it's on the right side of the road and is in a good location. There is enough to like if treated with a bit of respect. It is a bit of a white-trash crowd, but kinda fun in a way.

As I have said please try and work with the person you are dealing with there. I would be glad to help you, but cannot at this time for matters that will be clearer to all shortly.

You may want to Mr. Smith's post above as well for valid reasons. As someone who prides themselves on customer service it bothers me that something like this has happened regardless of your demeanor.

Unfortunately my hands are tied in this matter and I am unable to assist you. Please try to continue to pursue the avenue I have suggested in hopes that you can get some sort of satisfaction.

Who cares what you like or what you say. I played for 10 years at a place and they tried to charge me for a room. It is quite possible that this information is relevant in a gambling forum. You can delete this post all you want. I deleted the names from my posting so the only harm is to the IP, and they deserve it.

Threats rarely lead to a resolution. I'd say that your best shot is to drop the tude & call the person that your dealing with to see what they can work out.

If you throw them the same action as you have in the past, they just might comp your stay.

I understand your position. I tried to work with them on multiple phone calls but I kept getting passed around (as they admit in their email to me). I finally get a response and the answer is essentially: "We understand that you played at out hotel for 10 years between 1995 and 2005; however, I terms of service on the players card requires the deleting of points if you don't show up for 18 months. You are welcome to pay for a room and start from scratch and build up your points. We will even send you the rules for out Turf Club if you wish"

I already tried your suggestion. Now I am trying my suggestion. here is the email again.

Just to be clear Jay Kornegay is no longer at the Imperial Palace. Even though I was mainly a horse player, he did do the right thing three years ago and offered me a free trip. He is not the person or people involved here, obviously. He was a stand-up person.

Jay works at the Hilton. He has an outstanding staff and a well-respected book. You may remember his assistant, Ed Salmons, who is also over at the Hilton.
