**Record 20-15**
Brewers play game 2 of their four game set with the Pirates today with their ace Chris Capuano on the mound fresh off of the IR. Capuano’s stats are rather misleading as he started the year winning his first 5 decisions and then losing his final 5 decisions. Clearly Capuano was pitching through some discomfort that affected his performance, now that that he has been rested I look for him to be on point again.
Pittsburg has rookie Shane Youman making his major league debut tonight. Youman did not exactly set the world on fire in AAA Indianapolis going 4-6 with a 4.70 ERA. The Brewers line up will prove to be just to much for the rookie as the Brewers should cruse to an easy victory.
Brewers -152
Similar situation in my second play of the day. Cubs have their ace Carlos Zambrano on the mound against another rookie in Tim Redding. Redding had respectable numbers in AAA Columbus going 9-5 with a 5.32, however if it weren’t for the depleted Nationals pitching staff a call up would be unlikely. This is another very tough spot for any rookie to come in and have success against a line up that has been on fire. Taking the Cubs RL.
Cubs -1.5 (-120)
Possibly more plays later….Good luck
