personally, I dont rent too many movies per month, but I chose the 3 dvd's at a time for around $14.99 a month. But it gets MUCH better than that. You get a coupon to rent any movie or game at your local blockbuster store. I recommend using that coupon for a game for your kids since a game rental cost around $6.00 normally I think.

But the best thing is that you can INSTANTLY get a new movie as often as you want in the store. You trade in your mailed DVD's at the store for ANY MOVIE IN THE STORE including new releases. The turn around time for a new movie in the mail would be around 2-3 days depending on where you live. So you could EASILY get 20-30 movies per month if you or your kids watch alot of movies. We dont watch a whole lot of videos, but we were able to see about 15 movies last month. Not too bad for $1.00 each and then the kids got the free game rental.

There is NO REASON to even think about netflix anymore

Can you name 1 advantage to having Netflix instead of Blockbuster?

They have always had the movie I want to see. Except maybe 1-2 times.

Super consistent turn around time. Wait is short as can be. And always.

They have owned the online rental game for years. And I dont care about the going to the store option, going to the store sucks.

"2-3 days depending on where you live" that is rediculous. It should be day 1 send out day 2 transit day 3 new movie. ALWAYS.

No I cannot name an advantage as I dont have netsucks anymore. It is POSSIBLE that they have more older DVD's though.

I will tell you that I have found every movie that I have ever wanted at blockbuster online.

Netflix does have a $4.99 per month service though.

I cant even see how EITHER company can make any money at either price!

ROB, I am not real proficient at anything in regards to the internet in terms of posting. I cant even post a picture on this site

2-3 days INCLUDED the day that you drop it off at the store and you get a new movie.

I NEVER actually mail my movie anymore, I just bring it to the store

For the go to the store guy, blockbuster is more than likely better.

For strictly internet, they still wont beat netflix.

I dont know why you say 'netsucks' I think you are just being kind of dumb.

I get 3 movies in the mail from BB, as soon as i amready for more movies i go to the store and pick up 3 movies i want to see at no charge. They scan the movies i received in the mail and BB sends me three more movies that sre on my Que. They don't have to wait untill they physically receive them. If there is a movie that they don't have i go home and place it on my BB que and receive it thru the mail.

No mail service on Sunday's so you lose a transit day with Netflix. To each his own.

I like BB online's FREE 30 day trials. I have asked at the store and you can have more than 1 free trial account going at the same time. Too many advantages to name but if you need more just let me know.

Oh yeah... i almost forgot to mention Netflix sucks.
They got sued a while back for delaying shipments if you requested too many movies within a given month.

You used the laughing puppy. That discredits everything you just said.

But seriously, if it isnt broke than why fix it. Netflix has worked perfectly, I see no reason to change.

It doesnt suprise me BB is doing whatever they can they are damn near bankrupt.

I can name one advantage, Netflix has "watch it now". Right now it's only 6 months old but it has great quality and is the wave of the future. They only have about 3,000 titles that are availaibe for viewing over the internet but when they sign contracts with the major studios then this will surley go up. Blockbuster doesn't have this option yet. I really can't comment on Blockbusters service because I've only used Netflix but I've been happy with Netflix's service so far.

That may be like BB exclusives. Movies that you can only find at BB. They are major productions w/ good actors in them.

All I will say is this, ANYONE who tries blockbuster for one month WILL NEVER GO BACK to netflix! BAR NONE!!!

Now you have to get the version that allows you to trade movies in the store. It costs around $15 a month for 3 movies at a time.

Fvcuk the free trial, I would actually gladly pay $25 a month for this same exact service

I know a couple families that have tried both and they will never go back to Netflix, great choice and service by BB.

BB is great. The turnaround time for mail is just as quick as netflix. You mail it out day 1, they get it and mail a new one day 2, you get the new one day 3. With 3 movies out at a time you can get a new movie every single day continuously. There are no delays with BB.

I prefer the option to go to the store if I want/need to. Back when I was single it would be good for renting a date movie with the slut-of-the-day. Why go to the theater when you can get them all comfortable on your couch instaid??

Only downfall of both systems, and the reason why I canceled, is that after a few months you realize that you've seen or burned to dvd any movie you'd possibly want to see. New releases don't come out frequently enough to justify the $15/month.
