Dominic Rhodes has been suspended without pay for the team's first four regular-season games for violating the NFL's Substance Abuse Policy.

Rhodes pleaded guilty in the offseason to reckless driving charges. He'll participate in training camp and in all preseason games and will be eligible to return Oct. 1. This should seal LaMont Jordan’s position as the starting running back in Oakland, although a committee may come later. Rookie Michael Bush could also be involved if healthy. We're not bullish on Rhodes outside of Indy, and this knocks down his draft stock to flier status.

The Raiders have made a habit of taking players at above cost the past decade or so....and here we go again.

Good job by the Raiders of doing their homwork. What a joke of an organization. Can't wait for the Chargers to punk their asses twice again
