Besides being coked/methed up, why do people set off fireworks during the day?

Came home today still high 80's sunny not even 3:00 and people out in the road with sparklers and setting off bottle rockets and mortars

WTF

Being corgial I asked why arent you waiting for tonight.. HIs response was no man this is a good time.. I told him you realize fireworks are supposed to be seen at night because of the sun.. His response, well you know how it is

Probably just freeing up time for them later to head on out to the Walmart

Used to have neighbors that set off fireworks beginning in June every other night. That would last until August. This is the first year in a long time I haven't heard any from them.
Not a big deal anyway, I am sure I pissed off a lot of folk when I was a youngster.

The 4th of July is my least favorite holiday. It's noisy and hot. Did I mention noisy? I would rather be at work. In fact, I may go in to the office to escape the noise.

When I lived in the north I visited Canada for the 4th. Now that I live in the Southwest I go to Mexico in protest of our government's actions. Don't get me wrong, I love the freedoms we have. It's just my way of protesting how the freedoms we had on the original Independence Day have eroded.

White trash down the street still going strong around here as well.

One house in the entire neighborhood - surrounded by a nice house with a huge pool and next to a sweet house sits a poorly kept house with a pickup truck in the backyard, a ratty chevette out front, empty Busch Light boxes - and damn if they don't think lighting off fireworks is the knee slappinest best thing since f'n Walmart and Hank Williams Jr.
