I make fun of AIDS alot, but to be honest it's a step. Tight as hell.

I've been there a few times when I've fucked a random girl slut without a cap during drunken dumbass hornyness and then slam the panic button a few days later. I try to get tested once a year, then again, I'm basically a whore.

Too bad nobody but Bono gives a shit about AIDS.

If researchers/scientists are working with a drug company and are smart enough to come up with a cure I hope all involved retire to riches in the billions - they will deserve it.

I noticed they were talking about HIV-1 - and not HIV-2 - HIV-2 is what is running rampant through Africa - if you go get tested in the US they won't even test you for HIV-2 unless you tell them you've been to Africa - the virus has mutated

I'm basically a whore too and always try to cap it. But occasionally I'll find a civilian (non-whore) woman to have sex with that I know really well. However, even civilian women can have HIV from whatever fling they may have had in the past and not have been tested for it. So I got tested a week ago during my yearly physical. Negative for all STDs.

HIV is no longer a death sentence in the West. It's similar to diabetes in the fact that your health will suffer but you can still live with it. Some places state that the average life expectancy after acquiring HIV is something like 30 years.

I read somewhere that due to the charateristics of the disease, there will never be a cure for HIV.

We need cure for AIDS, not HIV... HIV is a harmless retrovirus that's been around for centuries. We've been lied to for over two decades and of course we accept it, mainly because we don't have two hours to invest on an informative video or question our government for that matter... Tsk, tsk, tsk... typical.

He's a virology professor from Cal Berkeley with 30 years of retrovirus experience. I highly doubt that he'd be feeding you or I bullshit.

You try to use Berkeley as credibility, seriously? Those nutjob dirty hippies at Berkeley smoke weed like Amaechi smokes pole. They're famous for this type of bullshit.

Also for your information, fucnluc, Cal Berkeley is the number one public university in the nation. And no, you can't get in by transfering units from your local community college. Even with your 2.3 GPA...

Did you really watch that whole video? 2 hours long. I've read many articles on this topic and I'm inclined to take that side of the argument as well.

Haha. When the fuck did I attack you? You realize Berkeley and UCLA are two different schools? Or Bill Nye the Science guy didn't teach you that shit? Don't throw your degrees at me, my Marketing degree is more than I need to get ahead in life.

Stop taking things so personal.

Double Edit: I only watched bits and pieces.

fucnluc, nothing personal... Just letting you know, Berkeley professors are no joke as you put it, they are respected by their peers.

No matter what I tell you, you will never believe me since you've been brainwashed into thinking HIV causes AIDS. But the truth is simple, the researchers and doctors have no idea what causes AIDS. C'mon man, if HIV was the cause everyone with AIDS should possess the virus right? Well, not everyone that has AIDS possess the virus.

Also, unless you're consistantly unemployed and have no work experiance...

You should realize by now that the college you went to doesn't mean shit past your first hire. Degrees? Yes, I'll give you that as the more degrees the better. However, the same degrees from University of Tampa/UCLA really isn't a deciding factor at all once you've got your hands dirty, build up credibility in the work place and your skills speak for themselves.

We're not in first grade here.

supposedly there have been links to cures of certain cancers but the pharmaceutical companies love making the profits of ww II chemo so the medicinal advancement is more underground. Truly sad to see but money talks.

Proton therapy is the new thing being pushed, we'll see how it plays out.

nobody should fall into either trap

Some that read a conspiracy theory and accept it without research and then

Some that read it and say it’s false without research.

The first act out of spite for the authorities while the second act out of spite for conspiracy theories.

the video is eye opening for sure
