I just wanted to know what the line was on the Sarapova/Williams match today, so I went to Don Best to check it out. Then I clicked on the Boxing tab to check on upcoming fights. Then down towards the bottom it list the current belt holders.....

I would say I am more than just a casual boxing fan, but far from a diehard guy. I would say that 8 out of 20 of my all time biggest bets were on boxing matches....

anyways.....Who in the hell are all these people that hold belts in all these different classes? I swear I did not recognize over half of the names and I am just saying recognize as in ever heard of them.

Heavy weights for example....Heard of Klitschko obviously and heard of Maskeaev, but never would have thought he held a belt of any sort.

In the next three classes I had heard of one guy ever and that is Jermaine Taylor.

I mean really I find this crazy. Does nobody fight for belts anymore?

They do, but most are all overseas. Boxing coverage is dying. Half the time there is a "big" fight, the guys have to give up belts to fight in it. Thus creating a more obscure champ. Coupled with the fact there are too many weight classes and too many damn belts.
You have to be a true diehard to keep up with it.
