I'm a Met fan so I'm going with these two.

They just showed on ESPN the Braves/Mets game that went 19 innings in 1984. I remember watching it and freaking when pitcher Rick Camp came to the plate with one out to tie it with a HR to keep it going in extra innings. The game ended at 4am in Atlanta and they had a fireworks show.

The other game was the Mets/Reds in 86 when Ray Knight beat up Eric Davis for sliding too hard at third. That game went extra and the Mets were out of players, so they put Jesse Orosco in Rightfield and would switch him back and forth with Roger McDowell depending if a Right or Lefty was up.

(Pirate/Met game gets honorable mention when Mazzilli, then playing for the Pirates, tags up to win the game in extra and the Mets appeal at third and he was called out. Mets win later on.)

Jack Morris' 10 inning shutout in the '91 World Series. Maybe the greatest pitching duel in World Series history.

I was at that game in 84....I was like 10 years old and my lil sister was 6 or so...MISERABLE night..we all wanted to stay to see the fireworks...Game had like 5 rain delays (or it seemed that way with my memory).. we left in like the 16th...BEFORE Camp hit his homer...we caught the homer on the TV back at the hotel...It was memorable...I smile every 4th of July cuz it enevitably always gets brought up on TV somewhere..

I was at a Greatful Dead concert watching that on my sony watchman and people were asking me the score and I'd say 1-0 Braves.

Guess I gave alot of guys a bunk score but wtf how do you not score from second base on a double.

Was a great night as I had the Twins for the series and of course saw a great show!

You had to be 1 of 800 people at that point.

Isn't it cool being at one of those games? You'll see that for eternity. I was at the Leon Lett Thanksgiving Day game and the Giants game when Herm Edwards took the fumble from Joe Pisarchik and ran for a TD. The Miracle at the Meadowlands.

I had the Reds that night. My recollection is that it was one of those games in long list of games where I had the right side and got fvcked.
