MistaFlava's 2007 MLB Record: 55-54 (-13.81 Units)

My record includes all the whacky plays I made this season and all the parlays and just about anything I posted. I am back to my old style of baseball capping and betting it seems to be paying off in some ways. I am going to try and keep things as simple as possible and I pretty already know I can turn my season around and end up in the plus side of things. Alright, lets get down to business.

Milwaukee Brewers ML -120 (1 Unit)

Not hard to figure out. The Brewers have now lost two straight to the Bucs and with their ace on the mound this afternoon, I just don't see that happening again. As good as Tom Gorzelanny has been in recent weeks or all season for that matter he does not get the kind of run support the Brewers give Sheets as he is getting only 4.0 runs of support per start compared to Sheets who is getting 5.7 runs of support per start (8.3 per game in his last three starts). Milwaukee is hitting .290 versus left handed pitchers this season which is why I think Gorzelanny is going to struggle a bit against this lineup. Good teams like the Brewers avoid long three game losing streaks and I think these guys can find a way to get out of this small jam they are in. Great price to bet on a pretty damn good pitchers.

Cleveland Indians ML +103 (1 Unit)

The Indians are coming off that loss last night with Westbrook on the mound but I really like the bounce back spot they are in today. CC Sabathia is on the mound tonight and although Verlander has been good all season (almost like Gorzelanny) Sabathia has been better overall and he is the kind of guy you want on the mound leading your team into rubber matches. I know the Tigers love to kill lefties at home but Sabathia has pitched well here in the past, winning 6-3 earlier this season against Verlander and losing 1-0 in last year's meeting. Well the run support shouldn't be a problem this afternoon for Sabathia as he is getting a whopping 7.7 runs of support from the offense in his last three starts and 6.3 runs of support per game this season. Verlander is falling off the map a bit as of late with his 1.33 WHIP and 5.00 ERA in his last three starts and the Indians are not the team you want to face when trying to get out of a jam like he is in. Sabathia has led his team to three straight wins and with a big game like this on the line, I like him a whole lot more than I like Verlander.

San Diego Padres ML -235 (1 Unit)

It was a close one last night with the Padres waiting until the bottom of the ninth to win the game 1-0 but I don't think its gonna be so close this time around. Jake Peavy already has a win over the Marlins this season and the Padres have won four of the six games against Florida. The reason I like them even more than yesterday is because they are a streaky team that can learn a lot from a 1-0 win like yesterday's and now win their next 4-5 games. The Padres are up against Byung Hyun Kim who has pitched pretty damn well over the last few weeks but who has made too many critical mistakes at critical points of games. The Marlins are 0-3 in Kim's last three starts while the Padres 2-1 in Peavy's last three starts. Peavy looked really good against the Dodgers last week after going to Boston and losing in his start before that. Peavy has an ERA of 3.50 and a WHIP of 1.33 in his last three starts which is a bit below standards for him but he has been getting 5.7 runs of support from his offense over his last three starts and I think the guys come with the bats ready to swing again today despite hitting .211 in their last 10 games. Can they really stink that much. I won't answer that but I'll bank on Peavy here!

Will definitely do Mista. What time about? 6:30 or 6:45----or later than that?

I'll post my afternoon and night selections most likely after the conclusion of this Cleveland-Detroit game. GL
