I think it is worth an investment...

I'm a Seattle homer, but I really think this team can win the division IF we trade for another big bat. This team isn't a HR team at all, gets the job done with singles/doubles. The starting pitching can really only get better as the SP ERA is one of the worst in the AL. The bullpen has been amazing, and we have to hope that Morrow/Sherrill/Green and obviously Putz keeps it going because right now when we have the lead after 8 the game is over.

The reason I really think this is worth a shot is because I'm not sold on the Angels. The starting pitching is very nice from top to bottom and the 1-2 punch of Shields/Krod is one of the best in the league, but the offense still just doesn't impress me. You have to realize that Anaheim is relying on guys like Willits/Napoli/Kendrick/Figgins to get it done. While Figgins is somewhat proven, the other 3 are having either below average seasons with the stick or been very fluke like (especially in Willits case). Outside of Vlad and Cabrera, who can you REALLY depend on game in and game out to get the job done?

I really think we have a better team on paper than the Angels. They have us big time on SP, we have them in the lineup department, and the bullpens are about even. Whoever wins, it should be a hell of a race this summer. Good luck with whatever you do.
