Toronto's manager is brain dead. If Halladay is pitching a no hitter going into the 7th brain dead will pull him, hes done it before, Halladay had given up 3 hits, no runs, brain dead pulls him next pitcher gave up 4 runs. Be carefull

Typical Cliff Lee looks great one minute and than wham the wheels fall off when he tries to get cute and than when he gets behind in the count he throws the ball right down the middle and gets tattoed for hits. Now 3-1 Toronto.

spoken like a true 12 year old

actually I'm not 12 yet.

let's put it this way, holaday is a very good pitcher. i'd put him in the same class as mussina in his glory days - meaning he has a nice record and respectable stats but he is not an elite pitcher. he is not a shut down pitcher. never has been and never will. like mussina he doesn't show up in big games and struggles against the upper tier lineups.

that's just one child's opinion. i hope toronto's bullpen holds up for you tonight.

Do you even watch baseball? Not even sure who holaday is. Halladay has been, is now and will continue to be one of the elite pitchers in baseball WHEN HEALTHY. He has stuggled through a couple of injuries the last couple of years but is a very dominate, shut down type of pitcher. You might want to look up a few stats before you spew garbage.

oh, the old "when healthy" clause. the beauty of this argument is Halladay is proving my point at this very moment. he's struggling against a decent lineup - not a shocker.

i guess i need you to send me his "when healthy" stats and his "when not healthy' stats so I can clearly understand how great Halladay really is.

FWIW, Mussina was absolutely an elite pitcher when in his glory days with Baltimore, IMO.

i like mussina. i followed him closely when he was with the o's and have great respect for him, but he never was never a "big game" pitcher. for me to consider a pitcher among the elite i think he has to be considered one of the best of his era and i don't think mussina will ever be looked upon like that.

Guess your right. They hand those Cy Young awards out to pitchers that are not dominate, all the time.

And yes Mussina was also an ace and a dominate pitcher. Anyone with a lifetime era around 3.5 in the AL is a dominate pitcher.
