Funny you bring that up. I'm about to pull the plug on these cables Fuckers. I'm paying $160/month for cable, internet and phone. I can switch over to ATT, for about $140/month plus $300 cash back.

I'll be honest, I'm going to do it because the cable assholes, pulled my NFL Access channel. The ATT lineup has it so later COMCAST :youmad:

CP,If you decide to go to AT&T and cancel Comcast they will probably try to keep you as a customer so they might throw in a deal to save you from leaving.Ask them what they can do for you and if that doesnt work tell them see you latter and cancel.I know guys that tried to cancel Time Warner Cable here in Ohio and seems to work when they tell them they what to cancel and they give them a deal to keep them as a customer.Cant hurt to ask.Gravy

When you call Comcast ask for the Retention Department. I did this a few times and told them I wanted to cancel and they will give you some sort of deal for 6 months to a year. Then you just do it again. I have also been thinking about switching from Comcast to AT&T. Comcast also took my NFL Network access away, but that is not the only factor for me. I may go to AT&T for internet and go with Direct TV or Dish Network. Have not made up my mind yet.

Just got home again from a B-QUE..heading to another house party..(damn I'm tired of running)..anyway

I tried to play the "" I'm leaving card" and they said OK fine....for 2hrs I was on the phone w/4 Supervisors...no luck..

I will try the Retention Department thing as a last ditch effort.

Otherwise, AT&T has a promo for 1yr..69.99 for SAT , puter and unlimted phone...then jumps to 104.00 a yr...at which point I might see who might have the better deal next yr..

again to all, thank you for your help..:aktion033 :aktion033

I also did it today since I am moving to a new house in 2 weeks. I told them that I wanted to cancel my service and that Wide Open West and satellite was cheaper and that is all it took. I got the same service that I have now (Digital Cable with 1 regular converter and 1 HD converter, internet service) along with Showtime for a year for $89.89. I was pleased since I was paying around $140.00. I rarely watch the premium channels and I recently cancelled HBO (6 month deal) since I can watch Entourage free on the net.

I have never actually heard of FIOS until now. Do you have to have a verizon phone account to get it? It sounds pretty good.

You don't need a phone account. The fiber optic has to be laid out in your town though and they're still not covered in all areas.

If your area has it, get it.
