Fox Saturday baseball is laughable right now. Just heard the three 'games of the week' next Saturday that will be televised:

(didn't hear the team, pretty sure they're garbage) vs. Cubs
Dodgers vs. Giants
Cardinals vs. Phillies

Next Saturday, there is the second game of a crucial 4 game series between Detroit and Seattle, yet it doesn't even make the top 3 games? Since Fox owns the rights to every game on Saturday (I'm assuming so they can determine who is going to get on the tube at 12:55 PST), how is this series not going to get any pub?

If I'm wrong about this then let me know, but is Fox really just that dumb? It doesn't bother me that I'll be watching the game on a local broadcast here in Seattle, but what does bother me is the people outside of Washington that have no idea about the resurgence of Seattle baseball.

This ones for you Fox. :bigfinger

Fox showed the monster tilt between Minnesota and the White Sox today. Hard to believe but Cubs vs Modesto would bring better ratings than Detroit/Seattle.

I've never liked this Saturday Fox format, it is bad for baseball fans...it may be a money maker but certainly not good for baseball fans...

Saturday baseball is stupid now and it has the feel of an entirely different schedule than the rest of the week.

Yeah. I'm pretty shocked that San Diego got a game on today. It's pretty sad that this whole year is going to go by and the M's won't get one nationally televised game the whole year. Really, really pathetic.

because baseball is so lopsided!

gee I guess watching the same 6 teams every week is more interesting, and we must always think of the ratings first, the ratings are the way they are because the Royals will never be able to buy the same players the Yankees will, it would take a miracle for the Royals to make the game of the week regularly, so how fair is that?

....the NFL would never have this problem.

F. Hernandez vs R. Harden

Doesn't get much better than that yet I had to fall asleep to Angels/Yankees

I guarantee if the Seattle/Detroit game was on the same time as the Cubs, South Bend Fox would show the Cubs game. The real crime is the MLB thinking heads believe it is a good idea to blackout every game to show a Fox game exclusively.
