Is it safe to say Ryan Braun is the real deal?

Hits another HR.

When the Brewers put you in the three hole to start your career, I guess they knew he was for real.

i thinke pence has rookie of the year ....but its long season.......braun is legit contender.....and if saltamachia or escobar gets to start every day if atlanta has an injury ...theyd be my dark horses...

but yes...i think braun is very talented.

The Brewers were a little premature in getting Braun into the lineup. Lets face it, Tony Graffinino is the man you want at the hot corner. :103631605

Hold the phone. No way you are serious. Braun is the real deal and starting to play third respectively. Graf. is a nice backup anywhere in the infield. Not being a homer here, but this kid has moxy.

Watch out for Laporte taking Jenkins spot next year I hope.

It's getting boring.

anyone that follows prospects knows that his hot start was not a suprise, same with Pence.

If the Brewers were real smart they would swap Suppan or Vargas out of the rotation for Gallardo.

Other prospects worth noting...

Tim Lincecum- could provide huge value because of his unimpressive stats but has improved him command and figured out he need Bengie behind the dish...he should have a monster 2nd half (ala Matt Cain '06, I made $$$ on that prediction last year)

Homer Bailey- an excellent young pitcher that has the unfortunate disadvantage of pitching in a little league field. He will have tremendous value at times this year.

Phil Hughes- I know quite a bit about this young pitcher. My cousin was teammates with him and says that he gets "injured" all of the time. He could be the next Prior/Wood disappointment. I wouldn't count on him in the long run.

Ryan Braun is getting some help from hitting in front of Fielder (which helped fuel J.J Hardy's amazing start)...the only thing that he need to work on is his defense. But he could easily be a 20-20 candidate in the future (maybe even this year!) because the guy has some wheels along with an amazing bat.

Braun is already the best pure hitter the Brewers have had since Molitor. Even better, he has a lot more pop in his bat than Molitor did. Not as much speed as Molitor, but he can run too.

Once he learns to throw the ball to first base he is going to be a great one.
