I am on Toronto, Pittsburgh and Washington early. All are fades against the favorites, not necessarily loving the dogs but I will take the plus money.

Byrd going for Cleveland against Toronto, he usually gets hit hard, last year opponents batted .308 against him, this year .319. Somehow he still gets wins, but I am taking the BlueJays at home with Towers.

2 units Tor +1.5 (-125), 1 unit ML +125

Also taking Wash with Redding, who has been out of the majors for a while based on his horrible performances. He has one start this year at RFK and 'only' allowed 3 runs in 5 innings, so actually not a bad start for him. The Nats havent been able to hit anyone that well the last few weeks, but they are almost .500 (12-13) against lefties this year and Capuano has allowed 10 runs and 16 hits in his last 3 games (14 innings)

I will take the Nats +1.5 (-105) for 2 units, and also ML +155 for 1 unit

Onto Pittsburgh. Big Shane Youman goes for the Bucs, he won his only start this year. Cubs havent fared well vs lefties this year and Zambrano has only been ordinary during day ganmes this year at 7-6, he has been lights out recently but I will take my chances with Pitt at +165 for 1 unit. Also taking Pitt +1.5 (-105) for 2 units

Zambrano is 6-1 on the road and dominates lineups like this. Beware.

Jason Bay is .367 lifetime vs Zambrano. Nady is .400 lifetime

But it wont matter if Youman gets rocked, currently bases loaded nobody out in the 2nd

6-0 today, YTD: 47-46, +25 units

Got lucky on the Toronto game, Byrd pitched better than I predicted, but Towers was also lights out.

Zambrano pitched well for Chi, but Nady and Bay both got big hits off him again today and Youman was solid for Pitt as well. Cubs now 8-14 vs lefties this year

Tim Redding with another improved start for the Nats, Brewers have lost the last 8 games Capuano has started and he has now allowed 24 hits + 17 runs in his last 19 innings. Wash 13-13 vs lefties but only 23-39 vs righties (almost identical to Tampa Bay)
