PRE/POST BASH activities + hotels + other deals (tours, restaurants)

For those arriving in Vegas a few days before the bash and staying a few days after the bash, there are no planned activities, I thought however we could plan some in this thread.

I arrive on September 5th, and I just got a great deal at The Palms.

I went through TravelWorm.com.... I did a search for 2 nights for The Palms....

The first night was only 87$ and the second night was FREE!!!!!!!!!!!

Damn good deal for this hotel.

If you go to Hoteldiscount.com the second night was also free, but the first night was 170$.

Anyway, I thought I would give everyone a heads up in case they want to spend two nights there before the bash. Ive done alot of researching on rates for the 5th and the 6th, but this is by far the best deal I have found to date.

For the record

Just so there is no confusion The Bash itself will not be held at The Palms. Sportsavant is merely suggesting alternative sites to stay at for the non comped nights before and after the Bash (actually both Bashes)..

Thanks, that is exactly what I am talking about.... the days before or the days after the bash, NOT THE BASH DAYS ITSELF

as we know the bash is on the 7th and 8th

when I clicked in the dates, September 5th, and 6th, the free room came up automatically.

the free room also comes up automatically at hoteldiscount.com, but there rate is 170$ for the first night and FREE for the 2nd.

at travelworm.com it was only 87$ for the first night and FREE for the second.

Yes, it is 'normally' true, however, im not sure if the dollar amount will be as low as past years, as I am hearing we may be staying in a higher class hotel this year, so it is likely that you could find a cheaper room somewhere else. That being said, I am sure when the 'HOST' hotel has been finalized, they will also offer a special rate to those that want to come early and stay longer.

Im a real cheapskate I guess, I dont mind moving hotels once or twice to get a cheaper rate, so that is why I gobbled up that Palms deal when i saw it, nothing else has come close to now.

I am now scouring for deals on the 9th and 10th (the two days after the bash).

Hopefully it will be cooler than 117. I just got back....of course I had to go when they were having temps near the all time record high. It was wicked hot!

For the Palms that is a fantastic rate, in an excellent hotel. You wont be disappointed by the pool, nitelife, or gambling. If interested i recommend taking this deal before its gone.

Palms deal is excellent, I however like to split it up with a downtown hotel.

Does anybody know of any good deals either before or after the Bash for a downtown hotel ( prefer GN) ?
