At last! The 2007 Rx Bash Announcement!

To everyone a big huge THANK YOU for your patience! I know this has been an enormous pain for everyone, and we thank you for sticking with us.

Please note: DO NOT CALL THE HOTEL TO RESERVE! Instructions are included in the second half of this announcement.
I will be around to answer questions for another couple of hours tonight.

The Rx.com is excited to (FINALLY!) announce the location of the 2007 Rx Bash!



Friday and Saturday, August 17 and 18

Bring yourself and a guest (or three!)** for the weekend of August 17 and 18th and stay at Planet Hollywood on us! Plus, on Saturday night, meet your fellow posters at the bar for drinks and eats courtesy of the Rx!

OR....

Friday and Saturday, September 7 and 8

Join us for the NFL opening weekend at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas! You and up to three guests** are invited to stay at the new Planet Hollywood Casino and Resort on September 7 and 8, courtesy of the Rx.

And of course, there’s the entertainment!

Friday is Ladies Night, including dinner, drinks, and entertainment. And everyone is invited to play in our College Handicapping and Poker tournaments (details to follow) on Saturday. Plus, later that night, eat, drink and dance at the 2007 Rx Bash Reception!


How to reserve your room:

Reservations will be taken using a secure online form* that will be emailed diretly to you. You do not need to call the hotel!

Simply watch your email according to the schedules below:


If you are attending in August:

Posters will be emailed by group every two days. First, those who booked airfare and/or were in Group One in our Early Reservations Thread will be emailed on Tuesday, July 10 at 8am EST. Groups two and onward will be emailed every two days thereafter.

Please note: many posters are concerned that they will not get a room. The combined total of Group One and already-purchased airfare holders is well under the total number of rooms available. The event may, however, fill during the course of emails to Group Two.


If you are attending in September:

Those posters who reserved for August and are now attending in September along with anyone in Group One from the September Reservations thread will be emailed on Tuesday, July 10 at 8am EST. Groups two and onward will be emailed every two days thereafter.

If you expect to receive an email and don’t, according to the schedule, please email me at tanya@therx.com immediately.

*the information gathered in this form will be used to create a Master List as per Planet Hollywood’s request. All information gathered is completely secure and confidential.

Additional nights are $129 in August and $159 in September. We tried to lower this, but couldn't get anything below our group rate. For posters that are interested, SportSavant has found some great deals online that I am sure he will share.

To everyone expecting an email from me this morning:

The 'secure' part of our 'secure online form' has a problem with it. I need to wait on Edgar (who is in CR) to have a look at it. Please give me at least a few hours to get this sorted, or at least to get the problem identified so I can report back.

(Nothing about our reservation will be affected by the delay, fwiw.)

With your post count, but factoring in the late date, I'll add you to group two. I can't guarantee you'll get a room, but you will have a shot.
