Did you say house or houses?..Not gonna get into a how big is you diick contest but WARNING:

If you ever get your house appraised for any reason-You have a solid chance of having your taxes or insurance raised if the report makes it to your insurance provider or County Tax Office. Trust me on this!

WVU-If your a Miami or Dade or Broward dude..House prices are way high and only getting better. Property in decent neighborhoods are solid investments. I hope this tax and insurance proposal affects you in a positive way. Make damn sure you have the Homestead Tax Excemption on your primary residence. By law if you have this, your property taxes cannot increase more than 3% per year.

Things are dropping - the condo market has not even scratched the surface of what is going to happen to it - last week - there were 70 properties set for foreclosure in Miami-Dade - of the 70 - many were scratched - of the ones that went - 2 pieces were sold to investors - banks are starting to own alot of real estate down here and they are not in the business of holding property - Interbay Funding just sold me 4 lots in Lehigh Acres for 11k each - they are assessed for 45k each and were sold for 50k each 2 years ago - the firesales are just begining and my purse is open.

I am voting for the super homestead exemption in lieu of the 3% max increase

well I live in shitty Michigan. Ice seems to think he should be buying. I wouldn't buy any houses for the purpose of renting for nothing right now.

I bought my parents house and have put atleast 20-30K into it got a great deal I had to buy it. But if I wanted to sell it right now I would still lose money so that sucks. Hope to be able to move in about 5 years or so. I hope it gets better.

We are closing on a house in S.W Florida in 10 days (can't wait). Was not planning on buying for 2 more years in Florida but could not pass it up.

My brother's wife's mother (say that 3 times fast, lol) passed away last year. To settle the estate the house was put on the market in Sept '06 for $309,000. It was reduced in the beginning of this year to $279,000 and still got no serious looks so it was reduced to $259,000 in May. The family was fighting and really needed to get it sold so my brother asked me if we wanted to take a look as they want it sold.We looked at it and fell in love with the area.Put a offer in of $219,000 expecting a counter offer but they took it within 2 hours.

It is on Pine Island (a small island off the coast of Cape Coral) in a really great neighborhood. 50 yards to the boat ramp and some of the greatest fishing around. .7 acre of fenced property, Mango,Orange and lemon trees and a great area for kids. May be boring for some due to the slow Island attitude but it works for us. Almost like being in the keys for half the price.

I know the market still has a way to go down there but i coudn't pass it up.The house was bought by the mother in 2001 for $178,000 and had improvements made so i think its well worth it for what we paid. Only time will tell but we will be living there for many years to come so the price over the the next few years is really not that big of a deal.

The house I'm renting isn't worth much but the proximity to bars is incredible. Nice area of Boise, it's just the houses are so old in this part of town the only ones that are worth much are the mini-mansions that have been kept up.

I think its a real good deal but i can see why it didn't appreciate as much of the Urban/Suburban areas of S.Florida as it is definitely "off the beaten path" and not really a good place to commute from due to its location. I should add that when she bought the house originally it had another 1 acre of land which was sold off (and now has a house on). Still a good deal though.
The only negative that i just find out yesterday is that there is a problem with Nile monitors:WTF: . We will be right across the street from a Mango tree farm so i'm hoping these monsters down like Mangos:monsters-
