I've walked through the Aladdin/Planet Hollywood many, many times in the past few years. My bank is right behind it, so I walk through there and my favorite restaurant, Commander's Palace, used to be located in the shops.

I can tell you they have done some major improvements to this property. A month of so ago I walked through with the idea of "what if we had the Bash here". It struck me that this would be the perfect place. The sportsbook is currently upstairs with a nice secluded lounge next to it and a bar. Much like last year at the IP, this creates almost a private environment for Rxers as we should pretty much have the run of the floor.

The casino is basically brand new with the remodel and the restaurants and shops are second to none. Those with wives and girlfriends should not hesitate to bring them as PH has a vast array of shopping choices as well as a top-notch spa.

I can't speak for the rooms and staying there, but can tell you this would have been by far my first choice of the hotels considered and am excited about everyone coming.

This must be one of the last Planet Hollywood's left, that place was basically run into the ground by the celebrity ownership LOL

As far as the poker room, it has been upgraded as well. They feature nice low-limit buy in tournaments and one night I was there for a 2am tournament (for those last night Rxers). I haven't played there frequently, but the few times I have I ran into a few former employees of mine. It seems they do a fine job and don't think the poker will disappoint.

Stayed there in October of 2005 when it was Aladdin. If they haven't changed the rooms....the room was great. Deluxe had large tiled bathroom with separate shower...big tub. Having stayed at NYNY and seen rooms at MGM...would rate Aladdin/Hollywood above those. Also both times we stayed there our room had unobstructed view of the strip.

Didn't eat there so can't speak to the food.

I'm pretty sure that the sportsbook setup is a temporary one, but don't know where or when they will relocate it. They do have their own independent lines and I did pick up a few future sheets including Conference champs for NCAA football. Did spot a value or two on some of their things.

I'm sure the September Bash will be nuts. If you haven't been around for week one of NFL, you don't understand the chaos. It is probably the 4th or 5th biggest day of the year in the books.

I would venture to say that between the actual hotel and the shops there, you likely have no less than 15 to 20 dining options.

I ate in the coffee shop one night and there must have been about 40 plasma TVs in the place.
The food was outstanding too.

You can't go wrong with a place of that caliber that was totally remodeled 3 months ago.

it could be a cave with a dirt floor and we would still have fun, but I like the choice.

The pool area is OK. There is not enough sun in the area till about 10 am or so and the lounge chairs are very close to each other and no Cabanas that i saw. There was plenty of eye candy and that's what i enjoy about the pool area anyway. Just get there early and grab some lounge chairs. This was last month so i am sure it will not change much for August or September.

Green D is right the coffee shop Planet Dailles is very nice.

I received an internet offer from them that expires on Sept. 30, 2007 for $59 weekdays and $119 on friday and saturdays that included a $40 dining credit or 2 free buffets. I needed my Aladdin card number and the PROMO code and booked my stay.

Why don't some of the Bash attendees use some of their comps or offers from the Imperial Palace from last year to stay there for free? I know i am still getting offers from them as i speak and could stay there on those day's not paid for by the RX.

PH is really a nice place and the Miracle Mile Shops (formerly the Desert Passage Shops) offer many choices.

The magic show "The Beauty of Magic" is pretty darn good. It is held at The Theatre for the Performing Arts(formerly the Aladdin Thaeatre).

I don't know if i will be going to either Bash this year since i did not commit to either one and there is probably no more rooms available but, if anyone needs the code and has their Aladdin card they could use this offer to book a room. I have a friend who has used this offer twice w/o a problem. They will ask for your card number. When you arrive at the hotel you will be in the system and receive a new PH player's card. If this is okay with the RX staff.

I'm sure both bashes will be awesome.
